During Treatment
The aesthetician will begin the procedure by gently cleansing and sanitizing the treatment area. If you have sensitive skin, we encourage you to let us know. For added comfort, you will be offered the option of using a numbing cream. The therapist marks the areas that will be treated and then injects the Profhilo with a fine needle. Profhilo is injected into exact spots just beneath the skin. The technique is called the Bio Aesthetic Points technique or BAP. The collagen-enhancing liquid is administered in five spots on both sides of the face – next to the ears, nasolabial fold, under the eyes, chin and on the top of the cheeks. This technique ensures maximal diffusion of the liquid in the sub-malar and malar areas. Profhilo is absorbed by the skin within approximately 2 cm from the injection point and spreads out evenly because of its high HA concentration and cohesive character. On average, ten injection points are necessary to treat the entire face.
After Treatment
Please refrain from applying makeup for at least 24 hours after treatment. Avoid alcohol and vigorous exercise for 48 hours following the procedure, as well as direct sun exposure and extreme temperatures for 14 days afterward. After treatment, you may notice small deposits of Profhilo just under the surface of the skin. These deposits typically diminish within a few hours after the treatment, and there is no need to massage the skin for them to subside. Any bruising may take a few days to disappear completely. It is advisable to avoid aspirin and alcohol for 12-48 hours after treatment.
